A Greek fable teaches us, “Kill not the goose that lays the golden egg.” The story is about a man who had a goose that laid golden eggs. He was greedy and was not satisfied with one golden egg a day. He wanted all the eggs at once, so he killed the goose to get them. Of course, he got nothing in the end. This fable teaches us not to destroy the source of something good out of greed. If we do, we will end up with nothing.
